Straight answers for clinic owners
The questions we hear most, answered without the sales voice. If yours isn’t here, email hello@clinicchime.com.
Cost and contracts
What does it cost?
It depends on what your check-up finds, so we quote after it, in writing, before you sign anything. In this industry, agencies usually charge in one of a few ways: a monthly retainer, a one-off build followed by a smaller monthly fee, or low-cost template plans. Ad spend is almost always separate. We explain each in what physio and chiro marketing costs.
Why don’t you list prices?
Because two clinics rarely need the same thing. A solo physio with no booking link needs a different job from a six-location group. A price list would either overcharge one or under-deliver for the other. We’d rather look first and quote a fixed scope.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. Our ongoing care is month to month, and you can stop with 30 days’ notice. The first piece of work is a fixed scope agreed in writing, so you know what you get before you commit.
What do I pay for Google Ads, and who pays Google?
You pay Google directly, from your own ad account, so the spend is always visible to you. Any management fee is separate and agreed up front.
Is there a setup fee?
If there is any set-up work, it is part of the fixed scope we quote after your check-up, so nothing shows up later.
What if it doesn’t work?
You’ll know, because you get the numbers every month: calls, online bookings and reviews. If something isn’t moving, we change it and tell you what we changed. We don’t guarantee results, because nobody honestly can. We do show our work.
How do I judge whether it’s worth it?
Count booked first visits that came from Google, and what a typical patient is worth to you over a course of care. If the monthly cost is well below that, it’s earning its keep. See how to judge value.
Your website, your accounts
Do I need a new website?
Often not. Many clinics get more from a clearer Book online button, better pages for the conditions they treat and a tidier Google profile. If your site really is holding you back, we’ll say so and explain why.
Who owns the website, domain and Google profile?
You do. Everything is set up in your clinic’s name from day one. You are an owner on every account, not a guest.
What happens if I leave?
You keep your domain, website content, Google profile and accounts. Anything licensed from a third party stays under its own terms. We help you hand it over cleanly.
Will you see patient information?
No. We work on your website, your Google profile and your booking software’s own settings. Patient records stay in your clinic, and email lists stay in your clinic’s own system.
Can you work with my current website?
Usually, yes. Whether it’s on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or something custom, we can often add booking, fix pages and improve speed without a rebuild. We’ll tell you after the check-up if a rebuild makes more sense.
Booking software
Do we have to switch booking software?
No. We work with Jane and Cliniko. Using something else? Tell us in the form and we’ll say whether we can help.
We use Jane. Can you work with that?
Yes. Jane has a public booking page and buttons you can add to your site and your Google profile. See how to set up Jane online booking. We are not affiliated with Jane. We just work with what clinics already use.
We use Cliniko. Can you work with that?
Yes. Cliniko offers an online booking page you can link to from your site and profile. See Cliniko online booking on your website. We are not affiliated with Cliniko.
We don’t have online booking at all. What now?
We’ll tell you what to look for. Setting up new software is a separate piece of work. Online booking is one fix among several, so the check-up looks at the rest of your path too.
Search and Google
How long does SEO take?
Booking and Google profile fixes can show results in weeks. Rankings for condition and location pages usually take months and depend on your area and your competition. Anyone who promises a date is guessing. Start with SEO basics for clinics.
Can you get me to number one on Google?
No one can honestly promise that. We can make your profile complete, your pages useful and your booking easy, which gives you the best chance.
Should I run Google Ads?
Maybe. Ads can fill gaps in the diary quickly, but they only work if booking is easy and your pages match what people searched. We usually fix those first. See Google Ads for physio clinics.
How do you get more reviews without breaking the rules?
We make asking easy and routine, through your own clinic software, at the moment a patient says you’ve helped. We ask everyone. We never offer anything in return and we never write reviews. Read how to ask patients for Google reviews.
Rules, privacy and fit
What about my regulator’s advertising rules?
Rules differ by regulator, province, state and country. We build to your regulator’s published guidance and you approve everything before it goes live. We don’t give legal advice. If something is unclear, ask your regulator. See health advertising rules for clinics.
Can I use patient testimonials?
That depends on your regulator. Some restrict testimonials. Check first. Google reviews are a different thing, and we help you collect them properly.
Who do you work with?
Independent physiotherapy and chiropractic clinics, in Canada and the US: solo practitioners, growing clinics and multi-location groups.
Should I hire someone in-house instead?
Sometimes. It depends on your size, budget and how much you want to manage. Read marketing coordinator vs agency vs doing it yourself.
What happens after I claim your audit?
You get a confirmation email. We go through your Google profile, website, booking path and reviews. A short written report lands in your inbox, with what to fix first. No pitch call is required. The report is yours either way.
