What does physio and chiro marketing cost?

It ranges from cheap template plans to large monthly retainers. The price matters less than what you get for it and whether it books first visits. Here is how it works, so you can judge any quote, ours included.

It depends, and here is on what

We don’t publish our prices, because they depend on what your clinic needs. We quote after an audit, in writing, before you sign anything.

What we can do is show you how this market charges, from our look at the pricing pages of 16 agency sites that serve clinics. Use it as a yardstick for any quote you get.

Six ways clinics get billed

  1. A monthly retainer on a long term. The agency commits to a package each month, and you commit to 12 or 24 months. A longer term often buys a lower setup fee or a website thrown in. Some of these contracts renew automatically.
  2. A monthly programme with no contract. Priced by scope, not by how long you stay. You can leave any month.
  3. Low-cost template plans. A set website design, a monthly fee, and extras for everything else. Cheap to start, but check who owns the design and the domain.
  4. A one-off website build. You pay once for the site, then often pay a smaller monthly fee for hosting, edits or ongoing marketing.
  5. Ads management as its own line. A fee to run your Google Ads, on top of what you pay Google. Some agencies also charge a setup fee or require a minimum spend.
  6. Software with a service attached. The tool is the lock-in, not the contract. If you leave, you may lose the system and the data.

Some agencies hide their prices entirely and quote after a call. Some of those that do publish have a term of 12 to 24 months and renew automatically unless you cancel in time.

Five things that change the price

  • Scope. Booking and a Google profile tune-up is a smaller job than a new site plus content plus ads plus reporting.
  • Number of locations. Each one needs its own profile, page and reviews. Many agencies charge per location.
  • How much content you need. A page for each condition and each area you serve takes real writing time.
  • Ads. Your ad spend goes to Google, not the agency. The management fee is separate, and the right spend depends on your market.
  • Term. A long commitment can lower the monthly price, but it also removes your freedom to leave.

Ask these before you sign anything

  1. What exactly do I get each month, in writing?
  2. Is there a setup fee, and what does it cover?
  3. How long is the contract, and how do I cancel? Does it renew automatically?
  4. Who owns the domain, the website design and the Google profile? Can I see the logins?
  5. What happens to my site and accounts if I leave?
  6. Where does my ad spend go? Is it my Google account or yours?
  7. What will you report each month, and can I see the raw numbers?
  8. Who will actually do the work?
  9. How will we know whether it’s working in three months?
  10. Which health advertising rules apply to my clinic, and who checks the content?

If an agency can’t answer plainly, that tells you something.

Not sure where your clinic stands? We’ll look at it the way a new patient does and send a short written report. No pitch.

Measure booked first visits, not traffic

A fair test for any marketing spend is simple:

  1. Count new patients who found you through Google. Ask at intake. Track calls and online bookings.
  2. Know what a new patient is worth. Visits per course of care, times your average fee. Be honest about drop-off.
  3. Compare. If a month of marketing brings more first-visit value than it costs, it’s doing its job. If it brings clicks and no bookings, it isn’t.

Be wary of reports full of impressions, rankings and traffic with no bookings. Those can look good while the diary stays empty.

Not sure what one extra new patient a week is worth to you? Take the average number of visits in a course of care, multiply by your fee per visit, then by 52. That is the yearly value of one extra patient a week.

Look first, fix one thing, then care month to month

  • Marketing audit. A written report on your Google profile, website, booking path and reviews. Agencies sell these for around $1,200; we send ours in return for your clinic’s details.
  • One fixed fix. One clearly defined piece of work, scoped and quoted in writing before you sign.
  • Month-to-month care. If you want it kept sharp, ongoing care is month to month.

Your domain, website and Google profile stay in your name throughout.
