Google Business Profile checklist for physio and chiro clinics
Twelve things to check on your clinic’s Google profile, in the order patients notice them. About twenty minutes.
Before you start
Search for your clinic name on your phone. Tap your profile. Check what a patient sees. Keep your Google login handy. Make sure you are an owner of the profile, not only a manager someone else added.
Profile owner: ______________ Date checked: ______________
The basics
- Name. Your real clinic name, exactly as on your sign. No added keywords.
- Primary category. The closest match to what you mainly do (Physical therapist, Chiropractor). Secondary categories only for services you really offer.
- Address and service area. The map pin is on your door, not the street or the middle of the building.
- Hours. Real opening hours. Holiday hours set a month ahead.
- Phone number. One that a person answers during your hours.
What helps a patient choose
- Booking link. Your online booking page is added as an appointment link. (See Google business profile booking button)
- Website link. Points to your homepage, or to a page for that location.
- Services. The conditions and treatments you see most, in patients’ words: back pain, sports injuries, concussion, pelvic health.
- Photos. Entrance from the street, reception, a treatment room, the team at work. Real photos only.
- Description. Two or three plain sentences about who you help and how. No superlatives.
Keeping it alive
- Reviews. Ask every happy patient. Reply to every review, briefly, without sharing any health information. (See Ask patients for Google reviews)
- Updates. One short post a month: a new practitioner, extended hours, a seasonal tip.
Not sure where your clinic stands? We’ll look at it the way a new patient does and send a short written report. No pitch.
Monthly, five minutes
- Reply to new reviews.
- Add one photo.
- Check hours before holidays.
- Look at calls and booking clicks, if Google shows them.
Rules to remember
- Don’t offer anything in exchange for reviews.
- Don’t ask only happy patients.
- Don’t put keywords in your clinic name.
- Check your regulator’s advertising rules for anything you post.
If you want it checked for you
We’ll go through your profile and website and send you a short list of what to fix. Just claim your marketing audit.
